View Full Version : realtime shader setup for games (xsi)

im in the middle of making a game character my question is what shader setup do people use when they display there work here? do they use just a plain phong or a realtime setup? and if so what setup, im finding realtime shaders quite confusing :(

for showing wires etc... just use the textured decal, its the closest view to whatever you are going to get in a game engine.

And i forgot to say this, so you can see the wires while in textured view, go to camera pproperties and check visible wires.

I almost never use realtime shaders when im making my models or rendering them out. I almost always use a constant material with the texture plugged right into the color.
