Hello folks,
I am animating a shot with some simple particles at the moment (personal/hobby project ;)). I am not very used to work with particles I have to admit.
The particles are very, very simple: streaks, emitted by a collision, RGB value controlled by a ramp over particle lifespan. So nothing special, rendering with the hardware renderer works just fine.
But how do I render a simple ZDepth for those few particles? I tried a few things, which didn't work, searched the forums and used google. But I didn't find a solution yet. I only found this old thread ( http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=86&t=366744 ) , which didn't really help me, or at least I am not able to render ZDepth with the informations from this post.
I think I am not the only one who wants to render zdepth for hardware particles, so I hope there is a nice solution for my problem?
regards
Delio
