This is my entry. Here is what I wrote over at the official challenge page:
"This is the small robot that defends the space station he is assigned. He normally is not a battle robot, but must assume this role in order to defend his post.

Still flushing some ideas out, but this is the main concept."

Will upload the mesh soon(fixing some uvs), just starting this thread. Comments are welcomed...

Thanks Alekzsander. "Aqui esta un poco mas."

Here is the little robot in Mudbox (mesh done in Max) and the other stuff that I did in Maya. Started sculpting now that I fixed some of the uv issues. Will have some progress during the weekend....Now the fun part in Mud....

Looking good. This robot is a good opportunity to show off some hard surface sculpting.

fantasymaster: Thanks. I will have to tweak a little as I start sculpting......hopefully it will still look nice.
DrZenith: It will be a challenge on the hard surface, that's one of the reasons I will do this. Been seeing some really great hard surface sculpts...got to learn....

Playing with some brushes and masks in Mud.
Time consuming, but exciting... and fun....http://challenge.cgsociety.org/cloud/mudbox/1149/9997906/image.jpg

i like your idea and concept..
atm the sculpt looks a little less dynamic to me as opposed to the drawing.
maybe because of the t-pose, but also because his upper body is a little too box-typed/fat for me.
i guess what i'm trying to say is, that i would like to see his upper body more strechted.. just my 5 cent :)
can't wait to see these nice weapons on him - keep going!

You saying little bot is TOO FAT? He's offended!
You are right. I compared it more closer to the drawings and did some mods.
He has gone on a polydiet...will upload it a bit later.....
Thanks I appreciate that.
That's why I like this format on the forum better then the other one .:)
