cant you just export the objects as .objs or are you want to tranfer the animations or what?
No, it's for exporting from terragen - You can export to lightwave, but not maya...

Theres a great FREE plugin called FBX at http://www.kaydara.com/products/fbx/index.php
It works with LW, Max, Maya and, XSI and Motionbuilder. And soon Cinema 4D. It exports geometry and animation.
You could also export as obj or 3ds which maya can import.
-Nevermind, i'ev found a plugin for terragen.
thanks anyway

what format is the terragen object in?isnt that a .lwo?
Yeh, terragen exports lwo objects...
Anyway, it turns out the plugin doesn't work, neither does the fbx converter.
So I haven't got anywhere yet...

I tried 'for export only' for exporting .obj from terragen..
But when I try to import the obj into maya, I get 'error reading file'...

There's a application named "3d exploration" which can save to all big fileformats.
Thanks, i'll try that...
wgreenlee1: I don't have lightwave. I'm using terragen which can export lwo. But I need to convert it for Maya...
