Hi,
Good job so far, just had some crits:

- It´s way too flat. Try to give it some more depth (stronger highlights and shadows), especially the hair is very flat.
- IMO you would not be able to see the whole ear from this angle (if the anatomy of an elf is similar to a human =) )
- The lower lipp is a bit too thin
- I´m not sure if you have drawn him seen from slightly above but I think the nostrils are still visable from that angle
- Also the neck is too wide

I like the eyes and the expression he has.

EDIT: I quickly drew over your picture to show you what I mean, hope you don´t mind.

- I added some more contrast (levels and some darker colours)
- Also added some highlights to the beard and the eyebrows and also smudged parts of the beard
- increased the size of the lower lip a bit, to give you an idea
- added the nostrils
- fixed the ears and neck
- I also cut of some of the head

Yes very much, and I thankyou. I have tried to incorporate your comments, except for the ears, I honestly like them. Guess your right about the hair, just I have no idea how it should be to make it look better, gave it a shot though. Im happy that you like the expression, it was something important Im wanting to show. Ive tried to emphasize the fact that the view is from a little bit above with his eyes.

Here is an update on the concept. Tried to make the head less flat. Also decided on a body. Its taking me a while to get the chest done, yet to have shaded it properly though. The tattoo is a phoenix.

It´s coming along great.
I like the tatoo, good job!

I compared the proportions with the picture from one
of loomis´s books and the proportions looks correct.

The only crit I have is that the chest perhaps should
be further up on the body but that´s just me being picky :)
and since you have already started shading it´s not so important.
