This ain't you're papa's robotgirl :D
Frightning and spectacular.
The only thing that's distracting to me are the edges where the skin ends and the mechanism begins.

Really cool so far, I like the setup with the projector-thing behind her too, and nice pose. Maybe push the deco vibe more and she could be a new version of 'Maria'.
I agree about the skin though, right now it looks way too much like 'deleted polys'..definitely need an edge there..have you seen A.I.? Something like that look could be cool. Seems odd in the closeup, is she sunburned? Looks very red in the far shot too.
Only other thing I could think of is some of the mechanics need bevels and surface attention. Other than that, dig it..keep it comin'

nice concept. she really doesnt seem to have a lot of "innards" in the first scene. im not quite sure how she could operate w/ such little mechanics.

looks like you've got the "AI" movie style going on there..
however i'd like to see more mechanics on her.

go her to see what it is : http://www.frischluft.com
it is a wonderfull package of plugins for combustion, photoshop, after effect .
" flair " for the lighting effect
" lenscare " for the dof and out of focus effects.
the best and faster i never seen ..look the gallerys to see what it can do.
thank you for your comments and i will work harder for new images ..:)
