Hey guys,

I am trying my damndest to render out a 230 frame animation, but everytime i try, no matter what I have in the render globals (i have the right camera selected and all that), it renders out the WRONG camera. I have set and reset the settings all day long, but everytime i start rendering out tif frames, it is back to the wrong camera?!?!!

what is going on?

Oh, and I left it rendering last night thinking i would come back to a completed movie, but it had rendered out 3 other cameras and was just starting on the one i actually wanted.... I hate you maya.

please help

thx,
burned out on maya

Select the cams you don't want to render\Attribute Editor\OutputSettings\Check off the Renderable flag.:buttrock:

this happens most of the people rendering directly within maya.
ok you can go select your cameras (one by one) go to the AE and in the output folder is a flag "renderable" switch that off, and only on for the camera you wanna render. in the render globals you will see the flag behind the camera. now it should render only this one,

another better way is to render from outside via batchrendering. you can download severall free rendering tools at highend which makes it easier to render from outside. with batch you can really tell the renderer which camera he shall render

You could also render from a shell. Very simple once you get used to it, and you have total control. Just type Render (capital R) in a shell and use the parameters of your choice.
A good back-up solution when doing RAM-intensive scenes.:buttrock:
