Could someone please outline the work flow of working with a single character mesh that has mutliple UV tiles? ...
I have a character mesh created in Max. It's a basic humanoid character; 2 legs, 2 arms, a head etc..
I've unwrapped the character and applied a multi/sub-object with three sub materials/texture maps for the respective UV regions; Arms/legs, head and torso.
So now i want to take the character mesh into Zbrush and still paint onto the three maps.
So how do i get Zbrush to recognise the sub object materials/ IDs? So i can paint onto the mesh correctly.
Right now Z only sees one texture map, and when i paint onto the mesh, of course this is painting over all areas of the character.
Make sense? Am i'm approaching this task the right way?
Basically i want to paint onto the mesh and for Z to paint into the respective ID/ UV tiles.
Thanks
Dave
