I recently completed a 3D Animation of the Mercedes Mclaren 722 Roadster

See it at http://www.henrythejedi.com/722/722_adv1_preview.php

Done using 3D Studio Max's built-in tools and Vue Xstream for the environment

Mental Ray was the render engine of our choice, and produce quite good results

This project took about 7 (seven) months to render in FULL HD 1080p
Average Frame rendering time was about 12 minutes per frame, and using a single computer rendering non-stop round the clock for the entire 7 months
The car itself took a month to design in 3d max, amd you can see it at http://www.henrythejedi.com/722/722_preview.php
