View Full Version : Python version?
Robert Glotzbach 01-06-2012, 07:20 AM Hey guys,
I'm having a hard time figuring out which version of Python c4d uses.
I would like to know so that I could do some exercises outside of c4d.
Thanks and happy new year to everyone.

Cinema 4D uses whatever version of Python is installed on your computer, however it's recommended to use Python 2 (currently at version 2.7.2) rather than Python 3.
However unofficially I've not actually encountered any real problems myself while using Python 3.

@Per-Anders: Your statement is not correct. Cinema 4D delivers a Python 2.6 distribution with it's installation. It's located under CINEMA 4D Rxx/resource/modules/python/res.
