looks very very nice!!
although i cant help feeling there's something missing....cant put my finger on it though....
OT: you gave your dad a picture af a car for his birthday???!......ok.......
I'll take a closer look at the car and see if i can figure out what the problem is......maybe it's the lighting?....
very cool model non the less.!

what the hell man that is called photorealism

- the wheelhulls have a square edge.
- the headlight washing system is missing.
- the rear wheel needs to be definately bigger.
- and there's something wrong with the reflection on the left side of the car - it needs to reflect less pavement. maybe i'm wrong but it just looks weird.
take some advice from this image:
anyways - a great piece of 3d(even though i don't like it in real life, looks ugly) and a nice composition.

The problem is that you dont have the reflections from the grass on the car I think. Looks like you just cheatet the grass in PS.
Some more work on the reflections and then it`s perfect.
Keep up the good work!

thats really good

What you're not getting that makes it look kinda funny is the gap between the hood and the grille is not well defined enough. That and the grass reflection.

There are some areas that need to be fixed, as others mentioned. Good job overall though.
...But damn, I hate all of Chris Bangle's designs :(

Thanks for all the input!
Yea, I made my dad a car for his birthday, he's had a wagon for 15 years and its about time he got something fun, I figured he'd like it because he was drooling at the commercials ;).
Here's a little update, I fixed the front and the reflections. All I had to do was make my shadow material not reflect on the car. The reflection is actually an environment map I made from sitting in the middle of the driveway and taking 30+ pictures and photoshoping them together. It should be usefull later when I get my hands on a digital video camera. Still workin on the littke bits, washing system etc.

that looks better!!!! great work! :buttrock:

Yeah, much better now!
The new reflections helped a lot...
imo the shadow beneath the car is too strong and too black when compared with the house shadows (not completly opaque and slightly blue)... but that's just nitpicking!
awsome job

Very nice but it looks like the car has alittle to much noise on it.
