This is my first decent planet. At some point i will continue onto making it a real space scene, but i wanted to know what you guys thought first.

Specs:
The res you see, is the res its at.
Photoshop 7.0
Tools used: Textured Paint Brush
Filters: Levels
Layer Modes: Hue, Linear Dodge

So what do you guys think? I dont normaly get much, or any replys to my WIPs so im hoping for a bunch.

I think it's a pretty nice looking planet. The only thing missing is some atmospheric clouds. But that's only if this planet has weather.

I say move on to more of the scene and add more interest to it.

It doesn't quite feel round enough... there's not enough distortion at the edges for it to look like a sphere, and the middle half of it feels almost completely flat. Maybe add a stronger spherize filter in Photoshop?
