Uuuummmmm....

Helloby 2: BPRD United? Or is it just the same artist that put together the X-Men poster?

Maybe it's just my imagination, or is the guy that plays Hellboy the same guy that played Vincent, the beast of the silly series Beauty and the beast?

Not particulaly fond of this image, myself. As a poster, it doesn't really present Hellboy very well. Some guy in trenchcoat with a gun, big deal. Can't see the cut horns clearly, no big hand, is that red skin?, and the symbol behind him looks like brass knuckles. I realise they may not want to give too much away, but the character isn't some big secret.

IMNSHO they should have gone with a Mignola style poster: Hellboy standing against a tomb on a small hill with stone gargoyles and angels, various skulls and bones lying about and kirby style black energy bubbling through the background. And seen through that evil ebon energy, a figure: Rasputin.
And of course, the Helloby logo over the top and at the bottom, overlayed, the BPRD logo.

Now why didn't they ask me..?

cause they want it to be make money. NOT knocking your idea, but you have to remember, they need to makes this movie VERY friendly to none Hellboy fans. Hellboy isn't that popular compared to X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk and Spawn [other comic/movies].

so why does this poster look like this? cause now people will see it and say, "ah, that looks cool. kinda like The Crow, X-Men, and/or Underworld, i'll go see it."

the hard part of making a comic/movie is balancing it for the fans and for the general public. personally, i was very surprised to see Hellboy made into a movie, i hope they pull it off...

I see you point, Kole, but I think they would have been better served by doing something dynamic that would grab people's attention. The current poster is sorta, well, boring. A red guy in an overcoat. They should be smacking people upside their imaginations with STYLE. The style they've got going now looks like it could come out of Vogue magazine.

Of course I'm just picky as I've been a fan of Mignola's for a long time.
