CGTalk - How to get nodeType via API

I have to find out of what a type is a custom node e.g. mia_material_x via API.
The default MFn::Type is kPluginDependNode, but I need the "mia_material_x" name.

Any ideas how I can get this name?

Try: MString MFnDependencyNode::typeName().
