I have saved up and I am SO excited to increase my productivity with a new i7-3930k build. My work takes me between Maya, DSLR video production in Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Pro Tools, and it is worth it to me to invest in a top-of-the-line workhorse. I am new to choosing components, compatibility issues, etc., so I appreciate your experienced input!
Here are the components I have my eyes on so far:

I'm still up in the air about a case, RAM, and power supply.
My Questions:
1) Video card- The gtx580. Is heat an issue for prolonged overnight renders? I know it has at least improved since the 4xx series...
2) Quiet Computing- I also record music, so I appreciate quiet. Opinions on quiet case fans (like Noctua), foam padding, hard drive isolation (like a NoiseMagic NoVibes III)?http://www.frozencpu.com/noi-01.html
3) SSD drives- Is the new OCZ Octane line worth waiting for? I have seen a lot of Crucial M4 in builds too, are they more reliable than OCZ? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148442
4) RAM- Gskill? Corsair? 16GB? 32GB? I've been in 32bit land too long to know how much I'll need in a 64bit box.
5) Power Supply- compatibility issues? correct wattage?
6) Case- I've looked at the CoolerMaster HAF X & HAF 932, but I like the 800D because I can use Noctua 140mm fans in the case. I worry about the larger 200mm+ fans on the CoolerMaster's being noisy, but I've read that larger fans can run slower/quieter because they push more air... truth?
Sorry for the barrage of newbie questions, what do you guys think?
