So I had submitted this for the finished image gallery and got declined for the following reasons:

-there might be noticeable artistic or technical problems in your image
-the context of your image may need a more creative presentation
-the image might contain elements that could be offensive to some

Not really sure what to make of it, so I decided to post it here and see what you guys thought. Is there anything wrong with the perspective? Proportions? How is the lighting? Colors? (i kinda take this with a grain of salt as everyone's monitors are different and the internet is not that great at displaying colors accurately) Do any of you find this image offensive? Does the image just need to be rendered out more? (was trying to avoid over rendering as i can tend to do, not to mention it can be wrist slitting =P) As far as context, well it was just supposed to be a simple character study in a simple environment. Is that sort of thing not permitted in the finished work thread?

And if there is anything else, let me know! I appreciate any and all help in this, thanks ahead of time!

The background looks arbitrary instead of carefully composed at the root level to work with the entire image as a good composition. The girl also has this look that makes it seem like a copy of a random internet photo of a model/actress (or just a random attractive woman), and then with wings added. The entire image doesn't seem to have a coherent and clear creative vision behind it--a core idea that expresses an emotions or idea, portrays a mood, or tells a story. Even as a simple character portrait, the pose feels kind of random instead portraying something important about the character's personality/identity.

In terms of technical problem now , the very first thing my eye cached in the picture, is the fact that you cut the wings in the left , and thus destroying the balance of the portrait. The problem would be solved though if you just removed the wings , but still then we have the other issues Lunatique said.
