View Full Version : a good SSS shader that alows u to see under the FIRST layer?
dmxdxl 11-11-2003, 11:45 PM i dunno if that makes sense...but i am workin on an egg and i want a shader that allows u to see under the shell of the egg (alien type egg), if anyone knows what i am talkin about i would really appreciate it...

CIM was trying to help you. the very least you could do is say 'thank you'.
if you look on the first page there's a link for the updated SSS plugin.
11.11.03 : SubScatter Shader Pack updated > subScatter v1.0
you'll find the two shader packs under the download section in the left menu.

hey man thnx and all but this sucks....it only lets u render out at 320x240 COME ON, THIS SUCKS, sorry looked hopeful for me for a sec till i READ that part..:(..

The mental ray shader is free and doesnt have the limits in lights and rendersize as the maya beta shader.

ok....so the pak you can use regularly like any shader node...

The reason why Mark Davie's SubScatter shader has limits is because the project is in beta stages right now.
