Pretty cool.
Reminds me of the game "Timecop" or "Outcast".
A bit much of glow / blur at the first one :surprised
If you have more like these then go on posting ;)

Welcome to the board Philipp :)
Hm, just noticed how cool the face of the second pic is. looks more like an illustration and not like a "bad" rendering. very cool.

:annoyed: haven't you learned that it's all about the artist and not his tool?

yeah I have learned that but I have used both packages and I personally think that XSI is better then max.... and speaking from experience, everything improves when you move from a burnt stick to a 2b pencil....
sorry if I offended anyone... wasn't my intension.... model does look good...

now i'm feeling a lot of envy! :)
JasonD. what if he didn't mention that it's done with max?!
could you guess what software it would be?

no problemo Jasond ;)
its made with max and render with finalrender.( the best, fast and easy engine i try )
on max there are a lot of render engines " mentalray, brazil, lightsdcape...) so i think that we could have the same "quality" than in xsi or maya.
in all the images i post here, i dont tryed to do something realistic with finalrender. want to make images between comics book and photos . i am a fan of watchmen ( the comics) and i like the hard light in this book.
i am working on an hyper realistic guy with realist light ( i hope :) )
ill post him next week.

Software doesn't really matter (as long as the artist doesn't use the "make art button" type of stuff), cause I've seen kickass stuff from just about every 3d package I've heard of (even Bryce! it wasn't even a landscape!).
Anways, if an artist can make good stuff with a "burnt stick"; more power to 'em.
