CGTalk - Can't find channel box or script editor

Firstly I'm a bit of a novice with Maya. I can't find my channel box or script editor. They're not hiding anywhere on my desktop, and I tried to get the script editor back using the panel editor but that didn't work.

Help is sincerely appreciated. I'm close to tearing my hair out.
