View Full Version : How do I get the name of the mesh from a UV selection?

While I can try slicing off the last three characters of the string from the UV selection like mesh.map[1]) to get the string 'mesh', issues arise when the selection is more than one digit such as mesh.map[32].

There must be an easy way to get the object name from a selection of UVs. Anyone?

Nevermind. I got it. I needed to use the -o flag of the ls command to extract the shape name. :blush:
