sick :x hehe, but I love it!... I know I'm thinking way too far now and you probably should just keep it at this still. But it would rock so bad if you made an animation with this.

First shot slowly moving through an old granny house, ofcourse dark but no 666's and blood on the wall, just dolls staring at you and dark paintings on the wall (or just a normal room, works good too I think). Supported with some whispering of kids or chanting, or perhaps some very childish music. Ever played sanitarium? If so then you know exactly what I mean :p

Now, after this the cam slowly zooms to the kitchen where an old lady is sitting, while the zooming continues over the shoulder you see the finger. Now when everyone is sitting at the edge of their chair the granny turns around VERY fast showing her huge teeth, red glowing eyes and rotten skin with a LOUD scream... the end!

Sorry, couldn't resist to write this idea down :p

Wow, sounds great man! Really reminds me of those cool ol' horror movies, like Pet Sematary! I wish I had the time and render capacity for an animated scene like your suggestion. True, non-simulated GI like I've used in my image still isn't really fast enough for animation production.

I really like your blood cell characters by the way! Keep up the cool work!

Speaking of dark, sinister music. Ever heard the song "Danse Macabre" by Celtic Frost? A fine tribute to horror soundtrack cliches.

Aah, that's a shame.

And *think* I've heard that before, a long time ago though.. But anyway, to get a bit more in depth on crits here (thought it was lacking a little in my last post hehe); I really like the way the blood blends in between the finger and the bread. Perhaps the finger could be a bit more detailed but that's really not a very big deal, works confincing enough like this :D

*back to english :p* and no website yet, still gotta start on that. I don't really have that much (decent) work yet so not alot to see anyway :p Pretty much all I've done and finished well is right on this forum hehe.

The blood was simply a matter or painting a red stain over my photo of the bread-slice. First I also had a little bit of blood coming through the side of the bread onto the plate, but that just didn't look convincing enough. I also had a glass of milk next to the plate with some bloody fingerprints on it, but the blend material I had to create for that made finalRender crash. So after an hour of pulling my hair out I decided to remove the whole glass and zoom in on the plate a bit.

That's a shame aswell :/ The milk glass sounds like a great idea. Oh well... Atleast we can see the fine details on the gore part now :D

Ik zit op 't grafisch lyceum in amsterdam, weet niet 100% zeker of er ook 1 in utrecht is maar geloof 't wel. Maar het is wel zoiezo niet alleen 3d, ook webdesign, director etc etc. Gewoon alles wat onder multimedia valt. Tenminste mijn opleiding, is verder nog keuze zat :p Moet je hier ff kijken voor meer informatie;

Je zou ook nog echt prive lessen kunnen nemen, dat is 2 weken ofzo alleen maar professioneel 3d, maar dan ben je ook wel de prijs van een mooie pc kwijt... Als 't niet meer is :/

I live about 25 kilometers from Amsterdam (in Bussum) and have not followed any study (when I was 18, the HKU didn't even have a real computer design study). Practice is my best teacher and love for creating graphics my best inspiration. :)

Have you got a website I can have a look at?

Hmm, brought to mind being a freelancer at times :rolleyes: :D

Really awesome though. The bread is amazing. The only thing unconvincing in there is the metal surface on the knife and fork, and maybe to a degree the fingertip or skin there. The rest is spot on..love the nasty cutaway bit and the soaked in blood.

heh, not really, I've had lessons in 3D about 1 year, and this year I'm an intern in a multimedia company. All in all I'm still kinda new to 3D, since that's not all I wanna do (flash/photoshop//webdesign)

As u can see on my crappy site, Í AM enjoying myself, tho I still have a long way to go in the multimedia buissness:rolleyes:

I'm almost done with my first serious try to make a realistic model, and will post it this week on cg, hope ya'll will crit it :D

Hypercube, thanks for your feedback. I think you're right about the metal. I'm not really satisfied with the metal of the knife, but after rendering for an hour, adjusting, rendering for another hour, adjusting, etc. at a certain stage you decide to keep it like it is and do it just a little bit better the next time.

I've heard of that scene. I guess all Dutchmen are psychos, because Rutger Hauer, the hitcher himself, comes from the Netherlands, like me. ;)
