Ah yeah, saw this passing by the LW area..great stuff, especially alone, and in a month. Hell of a lot going on there. Cel shading seems a bit 'rough hewn' on the chars, but that adds edginess to it. The cuts and camera really give it a lot of flavor, too. :thumbsup:

Greeat work FD. I like the overall feel of it. Altough there are
some technical glitches and a problematic middle section (IMHO)
I think you're quite there with it, especially for a one-man-one
month job. I like the lighting in some shots. Again great job!

I know you've done other work for this client, so here's some questions for you Facial...When you say "alone", does that mean Eurosport gives you (more or less) complete artistic control of the project ?...from initial concepts, storyboards, all the way to final product ? Are you their freelance art director, modeler, animator, compositer for these TV spots? Where or what was eurosport's creative input in all of this ? Did they even buy you lunch?
Again, very dynamic, great camera work, you are a one-man-dynamo O!

Mandrake, yes, I took time for the first part of the movie and ended short for the other parts... So I believe the first part is nicer.
Moving the camera saved me a lot, no time for animation. Getting in the 4th dimension is really IMHO what needs more time and care. That's why I'm still looking for (good and fast) Animators within Lightwave 7.5 ...

Seig ! My supa Mate ! First of sorry can't answer your (our) mail, I'm on hollydays (again) and I can't send mails for the moment (outlook).
Now the questions, usualy Eurosport gives me some guidelines, what they'd like, a wide idea. For example here it was Soccers (not playing)/City/Stadium and Manga universe. Than a guy from Eurosport comes every week to check if I'm not doing wrong, if he likes the ambient etc...
I usualy don't do Storyboards (I should), I discuss the overal idea with Eurosport, the main sequences, sometime I draw one when nescessary.
From here I do everything but the music. It's often really "Rock'n Roll" way of working...

Brian, it has sound but Eurosport changed it the last minute, works well with freestylers....

Ooooh...very cool.

BBC have some absolutely gorgeous World Cup adverts. They look like modern manga style, with a much more handdrawn look - the animators are the same that worked on the Gorillaz videos.

I saw it one day before delivering the Manga I (Link above)
I was so desperate........
The thing is, I realy missed the right to tell that type of story. I mean "Good" against "Bad", as it is in Puma's add. In my teaser every actors had to be equals, so (I think) it was harder to make some suspense, and to make an interesting story(IMHO)...
I had pretty cool ideas that couldn't be used because of the scenario (don't know if I'm clear).

Uuuh.. Sorry I just realize that I'm not talking about the same add you're saying. Mine was the Puma's involving Senegals Lions against "bad soccers team"...
I saw some prints of the one you're saying, but nothing moving on TV.

Anyway it seems at the moments we're in sort of Manga/SupHeroes movement, don't you think ?
