OK lets say you have a 2d image of a tree.. well composite and everything, But what if you want that tree to face the camera at all times? like in that game RalliSport Challege for the Xbox..U can see there trees facing the camera at all times/// well the leaves anyways.. Is there a way to do thin in 3d max?

Have you tried the Auto Image Planes Maxscript by Antero Pedras?

" a free script that simplifies the creation of planes that are automatically aligned to the camera. This script creates two planes one facing to a camera and another to the main light . Each of them is linked to a dummy that has an orientation constraint applied ... therefore if you move the camera or light they will be automatically facing them, this feature gives you the freedom to do animation's or change the camera angle without trouble." Should do what you want?

Ok, I can think of 2 ways to do it :
One would be to assign a look-at-constraint to your image plane in the motion panel. Just pick your camera as the Look At Target. That way it will always face the camera.

Another way to do it is to use the tape helper. Link the tape target to your camera, and link the image plane to the tape. You can then move the camera around and the image plane orientation will follow. This is the method I use to control eye movement.

Hope that helped
