— What will be the main applications used for this build as well as your workflow?

— What is the max you want to spend?

Applications: Zbrush4+, 3dsmax 2010+, Realflow4+, cinema4D12+, Photoshop and after effects, Poser, Autocad, Archicad, Revit and other architecture stuff.

The max is a dependent thing :D
I come from Poland, here I would like to spend 4000 zł max.
Around 3zł = 1$
So it will be 1333,34 dollars ;)

If it were my money I would get this setup:

mobo (1 Socket) $115
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130571

cpu (Core i7-2600K 4 Cores) $315
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070

RAM (8GB RAM 2x4) $52 x 2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345

Video (MSI GTX 580 w/ 3GB RAM) $600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127589&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Video+Cards-_-MSI-_-14127589

case (CM690) $90
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119216

PSU (Corsair 650Watt) $95
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020

Total: ~$1,319

The main benefit of this setup is a heavy duty graphics card with lots of VRAM which will help keep your interactivity/productivity up when you are working on heavy scenes. Not to mention better CUDA performance.

Thanks a lot of that.

when I come back, I'll check everything and how much it costs in here :/

And I think I should add some money to this, to have also a memory disk ? :P

With only:

I7 2600K for 1300zł

MSI P67A-C45 for 446 zł
http://primakomp.pl/p/74/54667/msi-p67a-c45-b3-intel-p67-lga-1155-pcx-dzw-glan-sata3-usb3-raid-ddr3--plyty-glowne-komponenty-pc.html

and GIGABYTE GTX 580 1,5 GB ver. super overclock for 1900 zł
http://primakomp.pl/p/76/52429/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-580-1536mb-ddr5-384bit-dvi-hdmi-pci-e-795-4008-wer-oc-ultra-durable--karty-graficzne-komponenty-pc.html

makes around 3646 zł

+ the RAM around 300 zł and I'm already passed the 4000zł :P

That's why the prices aren't the same in here, that in america/east europe.

Maybe I should focus on some parts of the PC I made in my first post?

You think the MSI P67A C45 (B4) will be better than the one I choose (Gigabyte)?

Not necessarily, I was unaware that NewEgg.com doesn't ship to Poland. That being the case, I would focus on finding an nvidia GTX 5 series card that has much VRAM as you can afford. I would also not bother with that aftermarket cooler only to save cost and apply it to a better gfx card. Also to save cost further I would scavenge a used HDD and a DVD drive from an old machine. I've not used that case you specified but just make sure it has decent cooling and you should be able to still overclock that Sandy Bridge CPU a bit without running into heat problems.

EDIT: Otherwise, go with the items you have already researched.

That looks like a decent value and an improvement on the gfx card VRAM which will be useful. You'll have to get it set up and post some cool work that you do on it.
