Love the Topic :)

I will try to recreate this illustration:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/be/Saturn_V_S-II_A-2_Test_Stand_Stennis_Space_Center.jpg/480px-Saturn_V_S-II_A-2_Test_Stand_Stennis_Space_Center.jpg

It shows the Saturn V Stage-II on the A-2 Test Stand at Stennis Space Center.

I just hope I will find enough reference material :)

ok, I've searched for quite some time and found plenty of nice pictures. but unfortunately almost no information about the size of the stand...

so I took the google maps satellite photos as a reference and extrapolated the height information with the help of some other photos.
This is what I got:

Now I can start with blocking out the rough shape of the stand :)

thanks cgvikesh :)

I wasn't able to put in any time during the week, but managed to sneak in a few hours today.

Not much to see yet. Mostly worked on the general shape and started with some detail on the, well, let's call it the exhaust(?).

Looks like you're off to a good start! There's a hell of a lot of detail on that stand, looks like it should be fun.
Were you able to find decent pictures of what's going on on the stand behind the rocket?
