CGTalk - hair copy style

Hi, Im applying hair to different faces on a grind, and I have to copy the same settings from one hair to another, wich I did it succesfully. But when I created a third selection, and when to create hair > from selection, and then Modify > copy Style I got a message "access denied" every time I try to select one of the older hair guides.

Why is that happening?

Im answering myself... Im taking a wild guess here.. both hair guides share common polygon faces and thats why I cant copy the style from one to another?

Softimage XSI is a great program but XSI hair needs an update desperately.
