Howdy

I have a project I'd like to do for a friend, and it involves compositing. Specifically, putting snow on ground where there is green grass. Placing a snowman made of snow in place of a snowman made of three big bouncy toy balls. Putting melted water and a little snow on a hardwood floor. Is this possible for a one-two man team, and how long might one expect a job like this to take. This is all for live moving footage.

Its very possible.
You just need to make sure you match your ground plane with the one in the background plates. Youll need to try and match up the camera height, lens setting etc with the real camera. Once it matches you may need to match the motion. You can place standin objects to match trees and stuff. Once you have all that you should be able to place your elements and match the lighting

Whats in winter? If you are speaking of LW8, I don't believe it will have many compositing upgrades........ will it?

What I forgot to ask is if anyone could point me to some really good tutorials online/

LOL

It always amazes me how we misinterpret each other. I've received responses to questions that seem like they came from another thread entirely, but I'm sure both of us thought we were communicating effectively.:scream:

Regarding the original question, you might try Amazon.com and search on compositing, 3D, animation, etcetera and see what comes up.

Oh and, etcetera isn't a tech term....oh, never mind. :surprised
