  Very good render !!!
When I look closer, two things bug me... First, the lightnin... I don't think it is that light in a saloon... but yet, maybe you put it like this just to show us the details that we would complain to be lost in the shadow... ;)
Than, the "wood plank" on the wall... isn't the fibre ot the wood on the other side of the plank?? (like you did for the column)
That's all I have to say ! Very good job!

Interesting scene; it's obvious you put a lot of work in on it. The only thing that bothers me is the repetition of textures... every door has exactly the same texture, every chair, every table (except the textures are rotated there), and the pattern just kind of jumps out at me. You would get more of an illusion of realism if you varied the textures enough to keep them from being obvious. Otherwise, good work!

yeah
the light needs to get better
right now it looks like the lightning of a soap-opera
very ambient light
you need the lightning of that movie unforgiven
and remember you need a lot of contrast in between light and shadow
turn on the fall off on your lights
other than that
i love it

Just needs more realistic lightning. Take a look at some pic, or your house when its sunny:)

looks like the render engine let you down on those table tops plus they all look the same...
very cool tho:thumbsup:

Nice scene, but the redundent and ugly (and obviously photographic table tops) kill the entire thing to me. They create unneccessary focal points.

Howdy,
I love it. Looks like my kinda place. I reckon what everyone else said about the textures and lighting is true, but if the scene is for a game, it's perfect. One thing that's missing is a green felt covered card table, or is that in the back room?
Just curious as to what software you're using.
Adios,

i agree with you guys, the textures are pretty repetitive. i just got lazy i guess but i'll try to fix it.
and as for the lighting i know it looks pretty bland. i honestly don't know how to light any better or to give it a good atmosphere.
i am using 3ds max 5 to model and render this scene...

Hello there,
nice looking render. You've spent a lot of time on this I gather :D My critique is pretty much the same as what most of the other posters have already said so... yeah. Keep up the good work and work that lighting! Additional, I'd suggesting having more than 1 texturemap for the doors - at the moment, it sticks out a bit. Also consider using a grim map on the wall paper.
I think the texturing gives the scene a too perfect look. Everything is so nice and new. Dirting up the maps with a grime map and nice finessing here and there will most definitely help.
You know what you should do? Light this scene for the night. It should be a challenge and learning experience. Get some reference images and set to work!
:applause: :wip:

This is just lovely! Of course, there is the texture problem that everybody mentioned here... but this is not too difficult to do, so I consider this a WIP and wait for the next version :D

I think that environement need to be be much distroyed, dirty and pretty much enlighted to give a good atmosphere. You don't have to present all the aspect of your work.

Awesome man... just awesome.
As a few people have said, the lightin needs to be fixed, and I think the walls and floors should be a little more dirty.
very awesome work bro.

Aside from all the other talk, I think one of the major things that would be missing in a scene like this is a big Chandelier hanging from the center of the room. I mean, what else is the hero going to swing on to get out of the big barroom brawl?
