Hello mayans!

Well i've been experiencing this weird problem on Maya some times!
I'll try to picture this in words... (gonna be tough!)

When you look at the move/rotate/scale gizmo you'll see the x/y/z arrows and in the center of it a yellow square that aways face you (the camera)
Well my problem is that sometimes this square sign simply locks itself facing sideways and my move command get all strange and innacurated.
I don't know if this a bug or something that changes on Maya but it sure is a annoying issue.

Can someone help me out?
Take a look at attached the pic bellow!

Thanks!

Looks like you may have locked the Translate in the YZ axis. You should be able to return it to normal by holding down the Ctrl+ any axis arrow to return it back to normal.

Hope that helps,
Shawn

Hi there,

Don't worry buddy it's nothing wrong with MAYA.
It's just a natural behaviour called CONSTRAINTS.
By ctrl+LMB on each axis it becomes avoided and when you MMB a selected object away from it you can move it just on two axes meaning a plane.
Now by CTRL+LMB on that little middle square you get back to full 3D movement.

Good Luck:thumbsup:
