Execelent job, chenkai1979 , i would love to see the rest of the story board. The environment looks just something taken out of a big fantasie story. Looks impressive work to me.:applause:

I tried to say this last night, but when I hit the submit button I got the infamous 404 screen, and kept getting it.

So, as I tried to post; I love the way you tell this story.

I do have a question. The light area in the grass just behind your character reads as though it might be engine exhaust just as much as it might be a path of some sort, or even water. Which is it supposed to be?

I love the story, a slave breaking out of prison running away and then living out life in nature like a journeyman/traveller in a certain free period of sort, as it seems its all nature, no industrial crap, etc... and of course where he escapes from was industrial like.

Kind of reminds me of the matrix the break away from the prison I dunno. Regardless I think this is an amazing storyboard :)

Congratulations! You've just got in Xaint's CG-choice gallery! :D

Only crit, besides what keight said is, the grass behind the guy has a confusing 'z depth'. It's because you've painted some farther blades of grass on to pof closer ones.

Please post more of your work!

I am always glad to see other artists who like to use everyday objects like nuts and bolts as decorative elements in their artwork. Ah the beauty of mechanical bits and pieces. I love your style.

hi, not bad man!

the painting is nice,

but I think the layout of the panels, and the progression of the story through them could use some work.

you might want to try telling the story with fewer panels,
and pacing it out better

right now you have 11 panels just to tell that the robot man breaks free. and then it just JUMPS to him being some sort of wheathered traveler who is at one with nature??

I dunno,
i'm not trying to rag on your work here, its just that you choise a comic book style format, so I'm kind of judging it as one.

I like the second one better because it looks more like he has a purpose...

The first one depicts a wander bound unfortunate... his only purpose is to wander... he has been programed to do so. the eyes and the fixed placement of the pipe reveal that he has no choice and is a mindless, soulless, robot.

GREAT work.

WIZARD OF OZ

Man, I dont know what it is, but this whole thing looks like a throwback to a modern-day Wizard of Oz. The character looks like a cross between the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Wicked Witch.

Pretty wacky.

kick ass chinese artists ?...... your mean?......

The phrase "kick ass", in this context, means that the art that you and quite a few other artists from north east Asia have done, who are also new to CGTalk, is so very good and so very dynamic that it beats, as in a competition, the work of many others here.

Basically, House has complimented you, but in slang English instead of standard English.

I too, wish more of you had websites so that I could see more of your work.

My favorite part of your character is the humanistic tendencies it expresses (most especially the bandage wrap around the calf).

Dig the art of it! :)
