Well, I've had this one around for a while and wanted to get some crits on it, places to improve etc. It comes in at about 3,000 traingles (quads shown here) with one 1024x1024 UV map. The model was made in Lightwave where I grabed some screenshots for this thread. The map was done with The Gimp, because the place I worked didn't have photoshop until I completed this.

Let me know what you think of it, it was designed primarily to be a realtime volumetrically accurate QF4 drone (note the orange tips), I used some 3-view schematics of the real jet.

Nice model. I always thought he F4 was a cool looking jet even if it does fly like a brick. The model seems quite solid and the proportions correct.

If it's panned to be used for realtime applications, then you might want to shade the texture some more. It looks a little flat at the moment. Also, some specular maps could be good if your planning to use shaders.

Is the cockpit glass supposed to be orange too? I think it would look better if it wasn't tinted orange maybe. An actual modelled cockpit inside it would be cool too.

And lastsly, the nose seems to lack the details in the plating that the rest of the fusilage and wings have. Maybe some rivets and such would help this?

Otherwise, cool work

Thanks for the compliments, I think you are right about the nose. I believe there is some detail I could add there. The cockpit only needs a seat in it because the F4 drones (of which this is used) are flied by remote and they wanted to show that there wasn't anyone inside. So the cockpit is very sparse, the glass was supposed to be that nifty gold colored stuff but that never worked out so I think I might just have it a dull grey with a reflection map. The model lives in an Open GL world so this is pretty much all I can do with it.
