Hey all...

I have a bit of a problem here. I thought i figured out the ins and outs of attach surfaces in Maya... but i have hit a snag.

The nurbs sphere (cut in half) has the same number of spans as the tubular shape up top. I have attempted to reverse surface directions, but that doesnt work, and I have tried numerous other techniques to no avail.

Perhaps some of you could look at this pict and give me some clues as to how to do this.

It attaches somewhat, but all twisted and gnarly, as if the surface direction needs to be reversed, but alas, i have already tried that one. :(

thx in advance

My first guess is that either the parameters or the seams aren't aligned. Make sure that both objects are built as Uniform and numbered 0-1. Then check that the seams are aligned. There are some scripts (can't remember if they bult this into 4.0 or not) that let you slide the seam around to match.

the command (script) is called move seem and is build in in maya 4. edit surfaces-move seem.
