Hi!

I`m working on a nCLoth simulation where the surface has a tear.
The simulation is cached out and both plays and renders fine!

Then I add an extrude to get thickness to my surface. This is done in history after the cache and nCloth. The simulation still plays nice in the wievport, but crashes on batch render when the surface starts to tear.

When the surface tears, my scene gets more polygons, because of the extrude edge.
Is there any way I could bake my nCloth simulation with my extrude? A geo-bake, likevise fluids getting baked to geometry.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try to :
Edit -> Keys -> Bake simulation (Read Help about that ! )

Or in animation tab try to create Geometry Cache
