Hello!

First post, though hopefully one of many. I've kept meaning to post on here but don't normally have the time, but now I'm ill and off work, I can!

Due to the uninspiring stuff I'm currently getting paid for at work, I decided a while ago to start my own little pet project. I've always wanted to work on a small animated short ever since I completed my BA Hons Animation course. I created Daisy Jones as an idea for an animated short. Basically, the story is set 125 years from now - the military have become a law unto themselves.

After the creation of a cyborg army of simians (monkeys, oo oo!), they ended up defecting from their military oppressors. Too intelligent for the military's good, they set up camp in major cities, taking them over and forming their own military campaign against their creators.

Daisy is a special ops agent who has been created by the military to correct their past mistakes. There's more to her than meets the eye though, which becomes apparant near the end of the short. Due to the amount of content I've added already to the site - http://www.daisyjones.co.uk/ - I've almost finished uploading all the storyboards. There are also bits of artwork, 3D builds of props in progress, sketches, desktops, concept documents, tutorials and more besides.

It's going to take a long time for it to be finished, and I think it's comparable to creating a matchstick model of the Titanic. It'll take ages, but it'll be worth it in the end! It's doing it's job of making me forget about work, and has made me remember that I'm actually an artist at heart, not just some polygon-pushing monkey-type.

Feel free to add any comments, etc. I have visited these forums many a time and have been impressed with the work on offer - maybe I've been a little intimidated submitting anything due to this reason, but I intend to become a much more active member of these forums in the future.

Thank you!

Steve ;)~
