View Full Version : Problem: Display inversion when I use painter

Gotta interesting problem here; whenever I use painter, the colors/display are flipped/inverted. It's mostly in the colorpickers/drawing area, but the entire program seems to run horribly otherwise as well.

This seems to be a problem with my graphics card (leadtek winfast, geforce 4 ti4400), but it is ONLY is replicated in painter. The problem remains, to an extent, after I close the program (colors are normal, display/refresh is a little sluggish though), and my system won't return to normal until reboot.

I've tried all the usual driver update/tweakings.. any obvious solution to this?

Hi,

It sounds like you need to change your screen colors to 24 bit or higher.

heeey whadddya know... apparently my display was on 16 bit... i thought for sure I had it on true color. You were right though, it seems to have fixed the display gliche.
