Hello,

Currently using Houdini 11.0775 Apprentice:

Don't see the following..
Mantra>PBR tab>Global Photon File param (this was where the photon map was accessed).

How/where are the photon maps generated/stored in Houdini 11.0775

.....ALSO

trying to convert .png to .rat via Shell>using "icp"
syntax:
icp something.png someting.rat
unable to create .rat

does icp come with apprentice?

Any assist is appreciated,
~Fess

The photon maps are auto generated now in H11 when using the GI light or Caustic light. They are stored wherever you specify in the "Photon File" parameter.

Mantra in Houdini 11 (http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1412&Itemid=344) - This is an overview of the new lighting workflows in H11.

For your conversion you have to make sure you are in the folder of the texture you want to convert, then your code should look something like this: "iconvert texture.tif texture.rat" Minus the ""

Hope this helps.

Yep no worries! :) Not sure if I edited it in time but I added a bit about your icp problem after I submitted the first response.
