I'm trying to figure out why my furry character here has a couple of areas on his body that render out black. I cannot find any help on the subject in the manuals and was hoping someone here has seen this and knows what causes it to happen. Right now there are no textures on the fur, strictly the hair shader. I've lit the scene with a about 10 very low spots and a key light with hair shader on. I'm not sure what else to add as I've only started using Shag Hair a couple of days ago. If you need more info or have had this problem and solved, please let me know as my deadline is rapidly approaching! Thanks everyone!

Oh and ignore that bar that crosses the character, bad render...

Ok, so after a bit more testing, deleting lights, and basically turning all options off and on several time, it looks like we've solved the problem. If anyone is interested, it turns out that the specularity of my lights was causing that problem. So Now when I'm doing my test lighting, if I find black spots in my hair I just go through my lights turning of specular until I find the light that creates this problem. Not the best solution, but it seems to be working.
