View Full Version : I'm learning but can't work this out..

ok, So I purchased lightwave10,
I though may aswell learn it so I subscribed to lynda.com and am watching the tutorials there..

now in chapter 4 he highlights the face of a 3D object and then selcts the bevel tool.
but then he shifts the bevel with the arrow keys on his keyboard up and down.
and insets using left and right....(not insert) inset
my directional keys just scroll and I can't find a setting anywhere to make them shift and inset with the bevel tool..

let me know if I have made my problem clear here as I have only just started using this software and don't know much of the lingo
any help would be awesome

Alt and arrow keys move polygon around. Maybe thats it?

Thanks for your help.
I watched it again and he did it with the mouse but I heard some keytaps for something else so got confused..
all good now..

Just make sure you are using the 'Alt + Arrow Keys" in the correct viewport.
