i need to use shaghair soon to model some hair..done it before

but now i need to make a little spiky hair ,like anime characters..

like the dragon ball z characters i need those kindah thick bunches of hair ending in a sort of allmost point.

now i was wondering, can i make some mesh objects and let spline(hair refs) follow them ? so i can make a sort of cones and let the hair follow them , or something like that

Use clumping in the shag hair rollout. should do it. But if ur doing it for a character like that why not just use polygons with pretty textures on them instead? Would probably do the look more justice.
