I'm trying to create a displacement map for a creature I'm working on, however it is only creating a displacement map on the end of its snout leaving the rest of the body plain. I noticed that this was happening because there was an unseen mask on the same area that was receiving the displacement map.

I cannot remove the mask to avoid this. Even when I erase the mask, it is still there as it comes back when I invert the masked area. Can someone please help me with this? It's driving me up the wall as I cannot figure out why this is occurring.

I found a way to get around it by reprojecting the details onto a copy of the mesh. Strange way around it, but it's now producing a displamentMap for the entire creature now.
